I hope the following will be of help to those looking for information on Lewis Clark's parents.

Duplin Co., NC, Deed Book E, page 368
13 Sept. 1791

Clark of State of GA to Daniel Clark of Duplin County NC, whereas JOHN CLARK late of County of Duplin died intestate and was at the time of his death possesed of diverse(?)tracts of land--by laws of the State aforesaid descends to the said WM. CLARK, DANIEL CLARK, LEWIS CLARK, BENJ. CLARK, NATHAN CLARK, DAVID CLARK, JAMES CLARK, brothers and joint heirs of said JOHN CLARK dec'd and in consideration of 60 PDS paid by DANIEL CLARK, all interest in land.
WM. Clark
Nathan Clark
David Clark
Benjamin Clark
James Clark.
WIT: Shade Dees, Benjamin Clark & James Clark

Then in 1794 Lewis Clark made out his will in Edgefield County, SC which Horace Satcher has submitted.

This Will was witnessed by Benjamin Clark (his brother?)
William Williams
Joseph Walker (married Elizabeth Clark sister of Lewis Clark)

In March 1796 Edgefield Co., SC, Deed Book 12, pg. 621-622
Francis Walker sold ANN BLALOCK, LEWIS CLARK & James Clark, heirs of LEWIS CLARK dec'd all of Edgefield Co., SC part of 170 acres on waters of South Edisto River, adj., POSEY, BUCKNER BLALOCK----. Wit:-----& Richard Bush.

Deed Book K page 453, Duplin Co., NC 17 Jan 1798

NC witnessath that DANIEL CLARK late of NC died intestate and at the time of his death was seized of sundry tracts of land lying in Counties of Duplin,Sampson----whereas the said Joseph Walker in right of Elizabeth his wife of the laws of the said State of NC is entitled to an EIGHTH part of the said land then eight heirs Elizabeth being one. ----sold to James Clark give grant and sell all the estate right title interest property claim which the said Joseph Walker and Elizabeth his wife to the said lands of DANIEL CLARK THEIR BROTHER deceased.

To me, this proves all of the above Clarks were children of one JOHN CLARK of NC.
