Georgi
It gets a bit confusing!!
Joseph Bush, son of Philip Bush, who died in Caswell Co. had these children:
Nancy (Ann) who married Thomas Haralson
Zenus who married Liddy Rice..he moved to TN
Zibba Bush who married Archibal Rice
Lois Bush who married Thomas Hensley
Zenus..same as above
Mira Bush who married Stephen Ingram
17 Rhody Bush married John Simmons
Mary Bush married Elijah Kennon
Elizabeth married a Fleming
Deed recorded 1820 in Caswell County...Zenas Bush of Montgomery Co. TN to William Evans of Caswell County...100 acres on Country Line Creek....being part ofa tract granted to Joseph Bush and willed to Zenas Bush.
I don't know who Dilly Bush is who married Mourning Ballard, but the Ballard and Bush family knew each other in Warren County...and I imagine her name was Delia or some such.
Jeremiah who married Rebecca Dickens is the son of Jeremiah Sr. I think that Susannah and Avicey are sisters and are the sisters of Bennett Bush, since he was their bondman.
I think they are the two younger girls in the 1800 census. Susannah married in 1807 so she was gone by the 1810 census.. Avicey was still in the household with Jeremiah in 1810 and she married in 1812.
It's really hard to get these generations straightened out with the Jeremiahs, Johns, etc.
When old John died in 1771, his son Jeremiah was married to Sarah ? (Jeremiah was never married to an Ann...that was old John's wife) I believe that Jeremiah was also married to Mary Duke and they probably had 3 children....Bennett, Susannah and Avicey. Jeremiah and his first wife, Sarah, had Jeremiah Jr. (who married Rebecca Dickens) and John (who married Mary Dickens). Jeremiah I also had a brother John, who died before 1783. A court record of that date binds Ann Bush, orphan of John Bush, deceased, age 12, to Jeremiah Bush, until she reaches 18 years of age. Surely she wasn't the child of old JOhn Bush, who died in 1771!!!! This, I believe, is the Ann Bush who married Robert White in Warren Co. in 1788. She would have been 18 years old. Her grandmother was also Ann Bush.
But Georgi...since I have your attention focused down here in Caswell, Warren/Bute Counties........
Nicholas Bush is mentioned in deeds of Northampton Co. NC in 1744. 1748..in a deed of 1751 recorded in Northampton Co., he is referred to as Nicholas Bush of Surry County...and the last deed recorded in 1768 in Northampton County dealth with some land that Joseph Bush had sold in 1760 that was part of Nicholas Bush's estate....anyway....part of Northampton County was annexed to Bute in 1764. Another part in 1766 and then Warren County was formed from Bute in 1779.
A land grant of April 1763 in Granville County, where Peter Jackson and Jery (Jeremiah) Bush were chain carriers, became Bute Co. in 1764.
I have an old map of that area, and the land that Peter Jackson deeded to John Bush on "Six Pound Creek" runs off the Roanoke River and is sort of at an intersection of Brunswick/Northampton and Granville Counties.
