Edward Bush bought from Martin Fryer, of Granville County, South Carolina, 100 acres on the Savannah River, granted 7 December 1755 to Christinia Houseman in [sic] the wife of F. Kauffman, bounded on the NE by Ralph Wilson's land, August 7, 1767 for 500 pds..Barnwell County, South Carolina Deed Bk. 1-A, pp 67-69.Proved by Edward Bush before John Dick.Not recorded until 30 Dec 1790 by John Bush.

Edward Bushe's will dated 25 April, 1769 is recorded in Charleston, South Carolina, Will Bk. 12-B, p.568.It states that he was of Granville County, Planter, and names wife SARAH, to whom he bequeathed "Plantation on the Savannah River," which was left in the care of ROBERT LEE;"to mother MARY CASTELLAW 280 pds; to brother JOHN BUSH, 100 acres of land [not described]and a negro fellow; to sister Zilpah Williams, 1 negro; to "Cousin ISAAC BUSH, Jr. Son of Honoured Uncle ISAAC BUSH," a negro; Residue divided between my brother JOHN and sister ZILPHA. Exrs.: "uncle ISAAC BUSH and Trusty & well beloved brother Ezekiel Williams."Wits.: ISAAC BUSH, OWEN O'DANIEL and WILLIAM CASTELLAW.Recorded Will Bk. 1767-1771, p. 324."
