"The choir of the Lutheran church gave a parcel shower in the social rooms of the school on Sunday evening in honor of Miss Martha Busch whose marriage to Wm. Gunderman will occur this afternoon. The ceremony will be performed at the church at 1:30, by Rev. E. Widman, of Iona. Rev. Soeldner being unable to officate due to illness. Miss Martha was guest at a second parcel shower in her honor on Monday evening, when members of the Walther League gathered at the George Busch home for a social hour. Many fine gifts were presented the bride-to-be." Fulda Free Press 3/31/1932
