The following information was just received from one of the organizations that has the records from the Jewish orphanages from the early 1900's. My Grandfather Juilus Busch-Farber was born 3/25/1919 in NYC. He and his mother Elsie Olshansky-Busch (Russian) a nurse, moved into this home where she was employed on 11/6/1919. His maternal grandfather was Max Olshansky His Father Bernard Busch (Russian) a conductor was to be living at the following address (2757 Haddon Ave. Chicago, Illinois). Elsie & Julius left the home on 4/15/1920 Elsie worked in the Hebrew Home for Infants while she tried to get a divorce. According to thier records when she left she transferred to Chicago, Ill. From age 3 to 6 Julius the foster child of Sarah & Robert Farber in NJ. At age 6 the Farbers formally adopted Julius. If anybody can help with the pieces from 1920 to about 1922 what happened to Elsie & Bernard how did Juilis wind up with the Farbers (Elsie was not present for the adoption).
