His parents were Needham Busby Sr (1752 - Jul 24, 1840) and Mary Ellison Busby (1755 - 1825). Siblings: North Hampton Busby b 1775, Demsey b 1780, Elizabeth, Catherine, Priscilla, Meredith Hampton B 1775, Nathaniel B 1792;
Grandparents, Nathaniel Busby Sr and Charity Haines; great grand parents, Benjamin Busby Sr and Catherine Bryant (born in Virginia and died in Edgefield District, SC.
