Children of Elisha Busby, b. abt 1765, in the Carolinas

Hi, Buzbees (and all variants)!

Many of you, like me, may have the following info on the children of Elisha Buzbee:

son, Frederick, b. Jan 1792, SC - d.1888, Walton Co, FL
daughter, name unknown, about 1795-unknown
son, William Henry, about 1805, SC -d. 26 May 1870, Mobile Co, AL

Well, while goofing around on the 1885 Florida state census, available at Ancestry.com, I found a "Fredie" Buzbee, age 92, born in SC, living at McDade Pond, Walton Co, FL. Right below him is a woman identified as his sister, named Mathilda, age 85, also born in SC.

There are many more younger Buzbees living with them and around them, but I do not have these people in my database. It is possible that this is some other Frederick Buzbee. However, I think this is a good indication on the name of the Buzbee daughter, that she never married, and lived to a ripe old age.

I'm going to go look for a Mathilda Buzbee on the other censuses now (and post this info on the other name boards.)
