Hi, Charles,
Had meant to answer before thisÉÉ. like always Fall is a very busy time around hereÉ.. I have posted all our emails on the various family Forums at Genealogy.comTrent / Burton / and the two Osborne'sÉ.. I hope we can have some break thru's in the new year!I am a little unsure abt. the Jane (REEVES) connection in Grayson Co., VA.It has been yrs. since I dealt with that stuff, but I'm thinking that in the back of my memory, that that lady LIVED and DIED in Grayson Co.,VA some yrs. after the Jane (Burton) Osborne would have moved to East TN.The Reeves do not connect to the VA Trent's that I have dealt with, not that I know of, UNLESS IT is as you have proposed thru your researchÉÉ
I know that STILL that Bob and Annie have not yet figured out a "proven" parentage for the two sisters, if they were BURTON's and not some thing elseÉÉ I too, STILL do not know enough to know IF they truly had a third sister named Elizabeth who supposedly md. into a Burton Family of East TN who apparently had a trading center or store and traded with the local native americansÉÉ (that suggestion came from a now deceased member of the TN Trent family, Doug Trent who had researched his Trent's and others and had the younger sister? marrying her Burton husband in the 1810 to 1820 time frame.I have never seen or found a reference, other then Doug's to a 3rd. sister, thoÉÉ
Hope you have a great Christmas and a good start to the New YearÉ.
