Hi Bob

Thanks for posting that information on the other William.
I had found a RootsWeb entry of a descendant of that
William's son Gideon/Gibeon/Gibson. It mentioned that
William lived in Newberry Co SC and showed that the family
did not come to KY.

So I guess my William really was the one who married Mary
Smith. Too bad. I was hoping to avoid having to research
such a common name.
