Hi Janice Thanks for following up. Interesting that there was another set of Burtons in Pulaski Co. Silas' wife is from my Rigsby family, so I kind of expected him to be from my Burtons. I'll have to investigate the connection. I have several other families in Pulaski Co, so he may be related to me more than once. If I discover anything I'll post it here. Thanks also for the tip regarding John Miller + Rachel Thomson. I'll add that to my notes as a possible lead. Every time I try to research my John Miller all I find is information about the John who was a printer and was run out of London for exposing corruption. While I'd like him to be my ancestor, he didn't arrive until after my Samuel Miller was born. I didn't have the 1860 Spillman census entry. Thanks for posting that as well. So now I know I'm part of the Charles Burton + Mary Hunt family. I see lots of RootsWeb entries for Charles. Many take his lineage back to a John who immigrated from England. How much of this is verified? Are we certain that Charles' father was Hutchens Burton? I'll be doing more research on the Allen Co branches of our Burton family. I'm descended from a lot of the original settlers of the area, so I'm related to a substantial percentage of the people who lived there. I imagine I will find that descendants of the Burtons married people already in my database. I'll post what I discover about them as well. Here's my information on Sam Miller + Elizabeth Burton: http://hindskw.com/KennethHinds/7487.html Ken Notify Administrator about this message?
