In Campbell County Deeds, Box 7, Book J, pg 486 at UK Special collections, a deed from Dec. 9, 1833 records sale o f la nd from Fanny Holsclaw and Polly Scott, daughters of B enjam in Rice, to Caleb Rice, son of Benjamin Rice. The de ed goe s on to say that Benjamin Rice lived and died on thi s prope rty that lies along Bank Lick Creek in Campbell Cou nty. Th ere is a Bank Lick Road in Covington, mentioned i n article s about old Covington. Kenton County, containin g Covington , was formed from Campbell County in 1840. Thu s Benjamin di ed between 1830, the last year he appears i n a census, an d 1833, when this deed was written.

1840: Kenton Co, KY was created from Campbell Co, KY.
