I am researching the Westfall family...Fields is a branch of this family....
Cora Belle (Westfall) married a Lewis Fields.
Dale Willard Fields was a son of Cora/Lewis...
I have the obits for both Dale and his wife Mary Jane.
Dale d) Nov. 1983
Mary Jane d) Jan 2001
In Dale's obit is mentions 7 surviving children, in Mary Jane's obit it lists the 7 surviving...also, two children who had died prior to her....Dale Conrad Fields and Shirley Jean Burtner.
I find a Shirley Jean Burtner in the SS records:
b) Aug 6, 1927
d) Jan 4, 1989
Locality Leetonia, OH
It is alittle confusing, Shirley is not mentioned in Dale's obit from 1983...and this Shirley did not die until 1989??
I would like to know if this Shirley Jean Burtner is the daughter of Dale/Mary Jane Fields.
If anyone knows about this Shirley, I would love to hear from you.
