I am researching one of the BURT lines. My earliest Burt ancestors were Joseph __ BURT II, son of Joseph BURT I. Joseph II married ___, 17__, __ Ann READ (REED)and lived in Halifax County, NC during period 1780 - 1822.

Martha BURT, Dau of Joseph II, married c1805, Halifax County, NC Thomas __ COLEMAN. Thomas and Martha moved their family with her father's, Joseph II, in 1822 to Autauga County, AL.

Seeking assistance and data for BURT, READ, and COLEMAN families of Halifax and Autauga counties.
