There were three Anderson Burts. One was borno in Va. in 1780 he M/ Sarah b/ in S,C. in 1800. One Anderson was my husbands GGranfather, he M/ Sarah Darden, he was the son of JOhn W. Burt, John was B/1820 in Ga. He married Amanda Duke.Anderson and Sarah had the following children, Gertrude(Kitty) John Charles, M/Lula HArper.
Luther was b/Miss. and M/ MAry Lou MAddox. I know this for sure as I got this from my husband mother a daughter of JOhn Charles Burt. There was a A.S. Burt in Pike Co GA. I have not connected him with any others. I believe that ANderson b/1780 was John b1820 father.I have been trying for years to connect this family, maybe between the two of us we can have some success. I know 2 Andersos fought in War Between the States.
Do you live near UGA? I live in Athens, but have been working i=on a another member of the family. I do 'volunteer at the family history center if you can think of any records the might help.
