According to the research my father did (and I have to tell you I am sure he was accurate but I don't have a listing of his specific sources on the Burt family, though many times he used cemetary records and some information came from family Bibles) Royal Burt was my g.g.g.grandfather, thru his son Daniel and his daughter Sarah Amelia Burt Clapp, then her daughter Bertha Josephine Clapp Flint and then her son (my father) Lawrence Robertson Flint.
Most of the information on my father's notes only give the basic information and unfortunately does not indicate any siblings. I do have a copy of a page from a Burt Bible listing deaths of Burts from Royal in 1852 through to 1884 but it appears you are looking further back (Sumner is not listed).
Royal Burt, b.9 Jun 1779, died 12 Feb 1852 in Southampton, MA,
Married 27 Nov. 1802 to Chloe Washburn who was born 18 May 1780 in Bridgewater, MA, died 28 Nov. 1878. I've not been able to find any further information on Chloe.
Royal's parents were:
Noah Burt, born 30 Aug 1734, died 24 April 1800 (drowned)
Married 14 Feb. 1761 to Hannah Loomis who was born 15 Jan 1738/1739 and died in 1802.
Noah's parents were:
Thomas Burt born 26 Dec. 1697, died 23 Nov. 1773,
Married 10 Dec. 1730 to Mercy Phelps born 7 Mar. 1703 and died 3 May 1779.
Hannah Loomis' parents were Amos Loomis (b. 12 Aug. 1707 d. 1779) and Hannah Pomeroy (b. 4 Feb. 1709, d. ?)
Thomas Burt's parents were Henry Burt (b. 20 Aug 1660, d. 26 Sep 1735) who married 3rd wife Mary ? on 22 Aug. 1690.
Henry's parents were David Burt (b. 1632, d. 9 Sept. 1690) who married on Nov. 18, 1655 Mary Holton (b.1630 d. 16 Dec.1713)
And David's parents were Ulalia and Henry.
