BURT, Benjamin Jr., Freetown and Newton Mass 1850
Posted by: Randi Herrod Date: April 20, 1998 at 01:27:55

Am looking for imformation on Benjamin Burt Jr., born in Freetown, MA about 1830. He graduated from Bridgewater Normal School, left for CA with the Boston-Newton Party in 1850. His father was Benjamin Burt Sr., a deacon. His mother was probably a WINSLOW. Benjamin's uncle was Jesse Winslow, cousin was George Winslow, all from around Newton and Boston Area. He married a schoolmate, Orilla Jones, and had four daughters in CA: Lilla, Evelyn, Alice, and Clara. There might be a STEVENS surname connected here also.
