Jane,
Doing research for some time now, I know how confusing it can get. I've got some of the names and places. I'll give you some puzzle pieces and maybe you can make them fit. I hope so. Here goes-

My ggrandfather is Jospeh Alden Burt(1823-1905)
Of his children he had a daughter named Ida Imogene.
I noticed newspaper clippings that she went by the name of Imogene. She was born October 17, 1869, not sure where. However, she lived in Cincinnati with her sister Maude Campbel after her retirement. Imogene never married.
