Looking for information on Mary Burt b. 1794 in Boston, married
Stephen (Etienne) ROSE about 1816 in Montreal. In some of the
church documents she is listed as Mary BOURG. In an recently
discovered autobiography from her son Stephen we found her correct
name (Burt) and born in Boston in 1794. There are numerous researchers
here in Michigan searching for years for any information on Mary.
There is no record of their marriage in Catholic church records in
the Montreal area. Does anyone have any information on the BURT family
who immigrated to Quebec?
