Lynda - I don't know if it is the same Burt or not, but my grandfather, Rufus Johnson Burt, had a brother, John David Burt, b. 1857, possibly Pike Co. AK. I don't know the name of his wives but I'm told he had more than one. His youngest son is Coy Burt.
Rufus J. Burt, b. 1860 in Center Point, Howard Co., AR. The parents of John David and Rufus J. are William (Bill) Burt and Rebecca (Becky) Moore. Rebecca died young and Bill later married Martha Rivers and they had a son, Riley Burt. I have been searching for the parents of Bill and Becky Burt for a long time. Let me know if you think your John David and my John David are the same person.
