Albert Melvin BURT, (Moses 6, John 5, Richard IV 4, Richard III 3, Richard Jr 2, Richard Sr 1) b. 9 Sept. 1815 in Cumberland County, New Jersey. He was Christened on 31 March 1816 at the Fairfield Presbyterian Church in Fairfield, Cumberland County, New Jersey. In 1839 he moved, with his father's family, to Orange Township, Fayette County, Indiana. d. 1895 in Tinney Grove, Ray Co., MO; buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carroll Co., MO.
At the time of his first marriage, he was living in Rush County Indiana.
He first married, on 14 June 1839, Lydia LaRue
Albert and Lydia had 3 children. They were:
David Burt b. 1841
Clement b. 1843
William b. 1845
The children of this marriage are the half-brothers of my grandfather.
