Thanks very much for confirming the info I had.
In addition to their children John 1779 & James 1787, there might be also a Janet in 1787 and a Betsy 1802.

I thought that John Burt Sr. (1755)'s parents might be Andrew and Margaret Drysdale, but I've no proof. My supposition is based on browsing the IGI and Burt Lists.

I'd be very pleased to hear from you again when you have the opportunity. Nice to know that someone is working on those Dunfermline records.
