Caroline, Thanks for the posting. I don't know if we have any possible connection or not. However, amazingly, my wife has a relative that we knew personally who was also named Charles Henry Burt (1912-1980). Our Charles was a London person. Most of our other Burts are either from London, or from places in Surrey such as St. Mary's Newington. I'm not clear as to exactly where Kew is, so don't know whether it is likely that your Burts could be our Burts.
