Hi,
Thanks for the response. I'm looking for Mary Burt, b. 1794 of Boston, Mass.
Married Etienne Rose 1806, reportedly in Montreal. Their first 4 children were born in Montreal, the next two in London,Ontario, the last six in Michigan. The info above on Mary Burt is literally all we know of her, except she died 2/11/1874 in Anchorville, MI.
We recently found her son's autobiography (written in 1904) which states her birth location as Boston--which the first we knew of her birth year or location. We have combed the records for every parish in Montreal for their marriage record. May be that Mary Burt wasn't catholic and couldn't be married in the church,though her children were raised catholic. Just a thought. Any help is greatly appreciated.
