In your meanderings through the Burt clan, have you ever stumbled across information on Grant Ferris Burt? He was b. at Bluff Point, Yates Co., NY in 1864 and d. in 1928 in Detroit. He m. 1st, Adda Mae Rarick, with whom he had six children (I have info on all of them). He m. 2nd, Sophia Clutts, who survived him.
I've been trying to prove Grant's pedigree line for a number of years. His father was Ferris Grant; and his grandfather was Lewis Burt, b. 14 Feb 1794 in Fairfield Co., CT. I need proof that Lewis was the son of Theophilus and Anne (Patrick) Burt of Ridgebury, CT. I have a bunch of circumstantial evidence for this parentage, but I've never found anything solid. Theophilus is in both Burt family histories, but not his descendants.
Any help would be appreciated.
