I am very interested in your John Thomas Bursey.I believe he may be related to my Bursey/Bussey line.
My g-g-g grandmother was Martha Bursey/Bussey.She married George W. Ridgeway in Loudoun County on May 29, 1846.The bondsman for their marriage was John T. Bussey---possibly your John Thomas.I have not been able to find Martha's parents, and would love to know if you have more information on John Thomas' family.Incidentally, Martha and George named their first son John Thomas Ridgeway.
I'm also interested in John Thomas' wife, Ann Eliza Conner.I found her death record in Warren County, and I have a Conner line that was in the Warren and Rappahannock area.My g-g-g-g grandfather was Thomas Conner who married Elizabeth Holmes in Frederick County in 1798; he died in Warren County in 1856.Their daughter Elizabeth Conner married Spencer Riley in 1832.I haven't found a connection between Ann Eliza's father Elsea/Elzea and Thomas, but would be interested in any information you have on his Conners.
Thanks for your help,
Lori Lander Murphy
