John Burruss and William Burruss are sons of Jacob Burruss (ca 1725-1778, Caroline Co., VA.) Jacob married first Susanna; second Diana. Children include sons John & William.
John Burruss married Rachel Terrell & William Burrus married her sister, Susanna. They were both daughters if David & Agatha Chiles Terrell and were close neighbors. Rachel was born in 1749 and married in 1768. William Burruss had a son Harris. All of this is wonderfully covered in:
