Eddie,
Here are some more things I dug up on Micajah, don't know if you saw:
(Tenet Dispute)
http://www.burress.us/burress/misc/micajah_burress_cc.htmlhttp://www.burress.us/burress/misc/micajah_burress_cc.html
(Estate sale - proves death year at least)
http://www.burress.us/burress/will_deed/micah_will.htmlhttp://www.burress.us/burress/will_deed/micah_will.html
Also found an Inditment for Micajah Burress and Elizabeth Francis on March 1849 in the Russell County Law order book 12 page 200, for Lewdness. Assuming this was because they were living together without being married.
Also in the same book found the estate information in, that the widow burress (who I'm assuming is Elizabeth) bound out the children (who at this point I guess I am assming were either Micajahs kids with Elizabeth or he adopted them, as they all had the Burress name).
Not sure what happened with Micajah and Rachel??But they most have been divorced if he ended up marrying Elizabeth.
Michelle
