I am trying to find information on the Harriss family. Fred and Mary probably died in Ada or Oklahoma City. Mary was a younger sister to Edith Ethel. Any help would be appreciated.
Mary's line went like this.
Isaac Ashalatubby Burris was the child of Colbert Ashalatubby Burris and An-ho-yi Palmer. Isaac married Cecelia Jane Harrison and had a child Mary "Maymie" Cecelia Burris b. 11-18-1883 Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory three quarter blood Chickasaw. Dawes Roll of 1898 card 153. Mary married Fred Oliver Harriss and their children were:
1, Alvis (or A’Vis or Ovis) L. Harriss b. abt 1910 d. Oklahoma City between 1971 and 2002. She married a Mc Reynolds.
2, Lanell Harriss b. abt. 1914. She married a Crider (LaNell in obit) d. Montgomery, AL between 1971 and 2002
3, Woodrow Bryant Harriss b. 1915 d. prior to 2002 Stockton, CA.
4, Frederick M. Harriss b. 1920 (in Oklahoma City 2002)
5, Truman Harriss b. 8-09-1925 Ada, Ok., d. 7-05-2002 when visiting in Freeport, TX. He was living in New Braunfels, Texas at the time.
6, possible a Maurice Harriss (male according to the obituary of Colbert Archalatubby Burris in the Stratford Star 1 July 1971)
