There were SEVERAL Burress/Burris/Burrows in WesternN. Carolina and in tho the Chattanooga Tn area from 1790 to 1820's where several settled in Walker County Ga amn the NW corner of Ga and The NE corner of Alabama. There are SEVERAL variations of the spelling of the name.
