Hi Sarah - I haven't found out any thing more about this William. My Burress line was William Burress/Burriss/Burrus, who was born in Europe probably around 1750-57 or so. I have never found all his children, but there was an Anderson, James and Micah that I know of, Micah being in my line.....William was located in Bedford and Campbell county, and Micah (Micajah?) ended up in Russell County Va. - Micah's son James was found in Tazewell. There was on other Burress family in Tazewell around this time, that I never connected to mine, which was a Thomas Burress. I have never found proof but believe Thomas may have been another son of William. This William other William that I found the deed for - could be another son of William, brother of Micah - again, no proof, but I'm thinking they all have to be connected, because these were the only Burress's in that area at that time.

No one seems to know anything solid about it, so its just one of those things I'm sitting one, hoping one day it will fall into place. : >

Michelle
