Hello Burress, Burrows and the many other versions of this name. My name is Rick Burrows and I am in St Louis, Missouri. I have been looking up the family tree and finding a mess!!!!!! I know that my line comes from Hutson (Hudson) Burrows who was born in North Carolina around 1787(?) and died in Walker County Ga in 1860. He had several sons,William b.1813, Anthony b.1816, John Edward b.1824 in Hamilton County Tn, Leroy b. 1824, Henry G. b. 1829. I am trying to find the parents of Hutson. Here is a listing from the 1820 Census from Franklin County Tenn: Anthony (Burrus) Burrows it has him listed w/ 2 males under 10, 2 males 10 to 16, 2 males 16 to 26 and 2 females 10 and under. He is listed as 45 and over as is his wife. Her name is unknown. Edward (Burrus) Burrows as 45 and over w/ 1 son 10 to 16. A female is listed as 26 to 45. Elijah (Burrus) Burrows 3 sons 10 and under, 1 son 10 to 16 , 1 son 16 to 26 and 1 daughter 10 and under, 2 dau. 10 to 16, 2 Hutson (Burrus) Burrows has 2 sons 10 and under, 2 dau 10 and under, and 1 Female 16 to 26. He is listed as 26 to 45. He was born in 1785 or 1787 in North Carolina. Martin (Burrus) Burrows 1 son 10 and under and 1 dau. 10 and under. he is listed as 16 to 26 and his wife is listed as 16 to 26. There was a Martin (Burrus) Burrows in the 1800 Surrey County N.C Census. Samuel (Burrus) Burrows 3 sons 10 and under with him and his wife listed as 16 to 26. William (Burrus) Burrows 2 sons 10 and under w/ him and his wife listed as 16 to 26. John (Burrus) Burrows 2 sons 10 and under. One son 10 to 16. He is listed w/ wife to be 26 to 45. Jacob (Burrus) Burrows is listed in Smith County Tenn w/ 1 son 10 t0 16 and 1 dau. 10 and under, 1 dau 10 to 16, 1 dau. 16 to 18 and w/ a female 26 to 45 and a female 46 and over in the household. He is listed as 45 and older. he is listed in the 1800 In Rutherford County Tenn there is a Joseph (Burrus) Burrows w/ 2 sons 10 and under, 1 son 10 to 16.
