I have a Lucinda Emory/Hembree/Emery that was half Cherokee who had a married a Burress (perhaps from Bedford Co TN) and had two boys Bryant Thomas Burres/Burris and Elisha Miles Burress. She m. a Wm A Makham in Henry Co TN 1840 so the Burress is dead or divorced/moved on (Cherokee way). She was b. 1809-1812 time period. This just seems interesting possibility.
