I have a Micaijah Burress b. abt 1775 in Scotland who married Rachel McCoy b. abt 1777 in Montgomery Co VA, (dau of Richard McCoy and Susanna Moore). They married on 10/20/1795 in Montgomery Co VA. Known children were Rachael, James, Daniel, Mary Ann, Margaret "Peggy", Eleanor, and some say a Clarissa, but I haven't found the proof of her existence. I know they ended up settling in Pike Co KY where Micaijah and Rachel died in the 1850's.
Could the Elizabeth mentioned in that Russell Co VA Census have been my Micaijah's second wife?? My Micaijah Burress was supposedly a hatter and the birth date looks right on target...but the children's names don't correspond unless this is his second marriage OR unless Elizabeth was an older daughter living at home with children of her own.
