I have a Michael W. Burress in McNairy Co. TN in 1830 census, almost certainly the Michael who came to Arkansas since he had three children born in Tennessee, (including Giles) according to census reports. (Yell Co AR 1850) They would have been born about 1829, 1830, and 1831 going by the census ages.
I still cannot find marriage records for he and Sophia and cannot find Michael prior to 1830.
Oh well, If I had ALL the answers, genealogy wouldn't be fun any more would it?
