I am looking for any information on Richard Arden Burress, born 24 February 1861, marr. to Emeline Waddle 31 December 1883. He died 15 June 1923. I know he had at least one son, Clarence Estel Burress, born 20 March 1890, but I don't know of any siblings. I also don't know of any parents or aunts or uncles or cousins for Richard Arden Burress. The Burresses that I knew were not great socializers and never mentioned in my hearing their kin. My husband is the grandson of Clarence. I knew Clarence's wife and their sons, Richard Hobart (my father-in-law)and Stanley. Both Richard and Stanley are dead as is Richard's widow who knew nothing about Clarence's family either. Neither does Stanley's widow. Clarence was born in Bland, VA, and lived in Bluefield, Tazewell Co., VA, working as an engineer on a locomotive for B&O Railroad. Richard Hobart was born across the state line in Bluefield, Mercer Co., WV, in 1912 and died in Lakeland, FL, in 1982. Can anyone connect these Burresses with any others anywhere?
