Sorry to have to add to Don's disappointment
in telling you that it is unlikely that you
are a direct descendant of the pistoleer
Aaron.
My great grandmother was Theodosia Belle Burr
and I about flipped when I learned Aaron's
daughter was also named Theodosia.
There are two books on my Massachusetts BURR
family and I have them both. One is by Chas.
Burr Todd, 3 editions, and the other by Dr.
Chauncey Rea Burr (100 copies only). The
last one goes into very scholarly ancestry in
England to the 1400s or so, and Todd had a
huge task of compiling American Burrs. We have no connection with Benjamin or Aaron; some of our line, including mine, settled in
what is now Upshur Co, WV in 1814. Now do not come up with Raymond Burr next as he was
a Canadian...just joking!
