Use any of the volumes by Charles Burr Todd
with great care. The later records are o.k.,
but the ancestry is flawed. Simon Burr, not
Jonathan, is our ancestor. Reprints are seldom concerned with errors or putting in
every-name indices, so reprinting carries a
mixed blessing. Most large libraries have a
copy of one of Todd's three editions. I also
have Chauncey Rea Burr's book; he spent many
thousands of bucks in England for his opus,
and was quite scholarly. Only 100 copies
were printed. I have Harvard U's copy which
was discarded. Regards, Erik P. Conard
