Jehue Burre came to America on Winthrop's fleet in 1630. He was born in England about 1600. He died in Fairfield, CT about 1670. He had a son named Jehu Burr Jr., who was born in England. Jehu Jr. married Mary Ward. They had a son named Daniel Burr, whose 3rd wife was Elizabeth Pinkney. Daniel died in 1722. Daniel and Elizabeth had a son named Peter Burr. Peter was baptized 7-23-1700 in Fairfield, CT and died 3-4- 1777 or Aug 1779 in Greenfield CT. He married Rebecca Ward on May 7, 1736. Rebecca was baptized on April 1, 1716 and died Aug. 7, 1779. They had a daughter named Miriam Burr. Miriam was baptized 6-1-1755 in Fairfield, CT. She married Elisha Freeman, who fought in the Revolutionary War. Their 6th child was Rosamond Freeman. Rosamond was born 5-20-1787 and died 1-27-1847. She married Alvah Cole on 1-8-1804. He was born 12-5-1774 and died 10-24-1846. She was probably not his first wife, as he was 13 years older than her. Rosamond and Alvah Cole had a son named Peter Burr Cole. He was born 5-24-1820 in Cattarrgus Co. (Onandage Co.) NY. He died 1-3-1899 in Bushnell IL. He married Harriet Luper on 3-1-1846. Harriet was born 5-26-1822 in Crawford Co. PA and died 4-26-1899 in Bushnell IL. They had 7 daughters and 1 son. The son was named Clarence Cole. Some of the daughters were Flora (Winnie), Anna, Victoria, Mary. Flora was my great grandmother. Anna was my other great grandmother. (My grandparents were 1st cousins!
