Samuel Burr b. 1815 Ontario Co NY, son of Jonathan

I am searching for the origins of Samuel Burr, born, according to his Civil War records, in Ontario County, NY in 1815.

He married Eliabeth Scott in Crawford County, OH in 1837.

He spent some time in Putnam County, OH, settled in Sandusky County, OH and died in 1862 of typhoid fever in TN.

Records of his children indicate that Samuel's father was named Jonathan.
