Hello Royce, I'm not certain of the line which I descend. Here's the situation. I have a 2x great grandmother, named Phebe Ester York. Haven't been able to locate her ancestors, but I have a clue written in a genealogy book about her which I've overlooked, it indicates that she was second cousin to Aaron Burr. I've been researching her for years and havent revealed anything so now with this clue am taking the angle of trying to compare Aaron's family to hers to determine where the connecting point was. It's a bigger process than I had imagined. All I know about her after all of these years is her birth name, date of birth, born New London Stonington Connecticut, her father was a dairy farmer and she had several brothers/sisters. Eventually they moved to Wisconsin, she married in Sugar Creek WI to husband name Martin H Dake, they had several children, he died while home on leave (civil war), she ran her deceased husbands grocery store that later burned down, she went on to remarry to a jeweler named Joseph Brierly, then they moved to a farm in Minnesota with her youngest son George Washington Dake, 2nd husband died while visiting family in England never to return, then she died. So while I have some of her life events, I remain unknowing about her ancestry. I'm determined and committed to uncovering this big mystery. There will be a celebration, a very happy day for me, when I finally learn her ancestry. Thank you for taking the time to write me. Carolyn Notify Administrator about this message?
