I've just started research on our family and have hit a stumbling block - I have gotten back as far as the 1850 US Census and found G. W. & Mary Burr in Sulphur Springs Texas. At that time, they had two older children ages 12 and 7 who were born in Louisiana and a younger son Aaron who was born in Sulphur Springs around 1858. They remained in Sulphur Springs with G. W. dying sometime around 1860-1865.
G.W. Burr was born in New York - around 1820
his spouse Mary was born in Georgia around 1830.
I can't find anything any earlier than the 1850 census, but am wondering if they could somehow be related to Dr. Timothy Burr. Any info would be appreciated.
