Searching for ancestry of Mary Jane Burnside, born 7 Sep 1842 in Muddy Creek(?), Butler, PA.; died 1904 in New Castle, Lawrence, PA. She married William Miller ALLISON 2 June 1864, probably in either Butler or Lawrence County.
In 1850 Mary(age 8) and 3 brothers, Samuel (16), James(11), and Elder(6) were living with the Adam and Elizabeth LINTON family in Muddy Creek, suggesting that one or both of Mary's parents may have died between 1844 (when Elder was born) and 1850 (when the census was taken).
