I have been re-reading the postings. I think it is so interesting--or strange! Illinois is mentioned, but have you come across the Burnsides who lived in Garner, Iowa? They lived in Monmouth, Illinois also, when their children were old enough to attend college. That would be our branch--but we're trying to go back to find who came to America--from Ireland or Scotland--and when. Just thought you might have come across something in the last year or so!
