Thanks for the prompt response!. You have help me with the information you supplied. Just as a matter of interest, I have a civil war "burnside" carbine, that Gen. Burnside developed. It has a rolling block action. A. Lincoln test fired them and "Spencers" and chose the later. A few burnside rifles were used in the Civil War.
