Hi, If your Andrew Edgehill Burnside b 1821 SC had the following children: Lucinda b 1841, James E. b 1845, Lucy b 1847, Sarah b 1850, Mary b 1852, Emma b 1856- then his parents were John Burnside (c1778-1835/37) and Nancy Jones. They lived in Laurens District SC, Andrew lived in Cokesbury, Abbeville District SC and they moved to Fla in 1856.
John was the son of James Burnside (1754-1803) and his wife Anna Edgehill, James b 1754 was the son of James Burnside (1723-1798/99) and his wife Martha Rodgers.
It was cousin who received a letter from James E Burnside b 1845 before he died where he reported on his family, I think.
