Seeking anything known about James Burnside, b. Albany Co, NY 1807, d. 1889 in Marlboro, Ulster Co., NY.
He was married to Nancy Merritt (widow of William Taylor), by 1851 when they had a dtr in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY. James, Nancy, and three dtrs are buried in Mountainview Cem in Castleton.
James' death cert says his father was William and his mother Catherine and that Wm was born in Maryland and Catherine in NY.
I would like to know how this family relates to the other Albany area Burnsides, if it does, and where James was between his birth in 1807 and the Castleton birth in 1851.
