I have been researching my husband's family and have been searching for information on "Nelly" Lee. Nelly was my husband's great grandmother. Most of the information I've been given came from a memoir written by one of Nelly's children. From this memoir I believed, for a long time, that Nelly's real name was Ellen. I have recently begun to wonder if the Martha on the 1861 census was indeed the lady I was searching for.

I would appreciate any information you would be willing to share.

Fee Ellis
