My records indicate that Eli (Ely) G.(Gunn) Burney is the brother of Stanford Guthrie Burney. Their parents were William Burney and Annie Guthrie Burney. Stanford was the first and Eli the last of their children. Annie died 1/11/1831 (prob just after Eli's birth) and was born 6/3/1793. William was born 7/8/1788 and died 1/17/1852. They were married 7/7/1812 in Sumner co., TN. I am a descendant of William and his second wife Frances Donelson.I have additional descendant info.Please email.
