Your Catherine Burner is almost certainly the daughter of Jacob Burner (earliest known ancestor of the family) who died in Shenandoah Co. Va. in 1790. He wrote a will in 1785 naming his children as : Michael, Jacob, John, Joseph, Samuel, Mary Beam (Boehm) Elizabeth Ruffner, Magdalena Hiner, Barbara Stover, Christina, Esther, Catherine and Franey (last four still Burner) and also deceased dau. Ann Ruffner. The will was probated Dec. 30, 1790 Shenandoah Co. Va. Will Book "C", p. 236.
