Daniel,
I am new to the Genforum and find it fascinating. I have requested my father to provide his documentation of our family tree, which extends back to the Issac Burner clan, in New Salem, IL. I want to continue the task of discovering about my ancestors. Your post mentions that Burner family researchers are basically stuck at Earhardt and Jacob Burner in the Shenandoah Valley. Please provide your documentation from Issac Burner back to Earhardt and Jacob. I will try to pick up the trail back in Germany. I lived there six years and speak fluently and my wife is from Germany too. I served three years in the German Navy under a U.S. Navy - German Navy personnel exchange program and some modest social (financial) benefits would accrue to myself and my children if I can establish my genetic heritage to a German citizen. I'm in this hunt for the adventure but a little financial incentive always adds some motivation! Thanks for any help you may be able to provide. Any other readers of this post are also welcome to help me!
